This microscope is in excellent condition, cosmetically 7.5 to 8, the lenses all appear to be clear.
A fine deco style microscope signed on the tube, "Reichert, Wein, Nr. 236798, made in Austria". The serial number dates it to circa 1952. It stands 12" tall in closed position. Coarse focus is rack and pinion, with fine focus via dual micrometer knobs. All are working perfectly. The original mechanical stage is missing. It comes with an abbe substage condenser with variable iris diaphragm and swing out filter holder. The plano-concave mirror is in excellent condition on both sides. Two original Reichert lenses fit the nosepiece. Three parfocal objectives include a 10x(Reichert), a 45x(Reichert), and a 30x(Olympus). One Reichert eyepiece, a 10x complete the optical system, which is of excellent quality, producing sharp images of good contrast. The microscope is finished in black and silver. This is a handsome microscope of distinguished design with a very fine optical system.
